Swimming Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy for Swimmers
Swimmers’ bodies take a whole different form based on the stresses this sport places on your neck and shoulders. Although swimmers can present with a myriad of physical limitations or pain complaints, the neck and shoulder are head and shoulders above the rest in terms of incidence! Most often it is a result of relative weakness in the thoracic spine (mid-back) musculature as well as postural tendencies that develop as a result of the movement patterns used repetitively for extended periods of time. Each of our physical therapists is here to help you make pain and swimming limitations a thing of the past.
My shoulders are stronger and helping me pull through the water better than I have in a long time and no pain!
