Physical Therapy for Swimmers
Swimmers’ bodies take a whole different form based on the stresses this sport places on your neck and shoulders. Although swimmers can present with a myriad of physical limitations or pain complaints, the neck and shoulder are head and shoulders above the rest in terms of incidence! Most often it is a result of relative weakness in the thoracic spine (mid-back) musculature as well as postural tendencies that develop as a result of the movement patterns used repetitively for extended periods of time. Each of our physical therapists is here to help you make pain and swimming limitations a thing of the past.
If you are not sure what you can do to better prepare for success in the water, but want an easy, cost and time effective way to help ensure you take the right steps towards your future, guided by an expert; check out our Telehealth or Unlicensed Health Consultant and Coaching Services.
