At BreakThrough, we are serious about your health and our BEYOND Performance Program proves it! With more than 6 million youth sports injuries each year, we know as an athlete, parent or coach how devastating an injury can be to you or your athlete’s season. We’ve seen too many preventable injuries cost scholarships, championships, time and money; not to mention the emotional challenges which often result during the aftermath of a season ending injury.

Coaches do not have the bandwidth to properly focus on individual training needs of each athlete.  Their time and energies need to be spent furthering sport specific skill development and building team camaraderie. BEYOND Performance bridges that gap in a positive, comprehensive, educational and individualized small group climate.

Sports, even individual sports require a team effort.  There are a lot of great programs out there, but few implement the knowledge, education and resources of our professionals.  With BEYOND, you work with licensed doctors of physical therapy who have special passion, emphasis and certification in sports conditioning and sports performance.  This level of education and expertise allows us to properly evaluate and identify key factors that often get overlooked. It also puts us in a position to best identify any need for and refer our athletes to an orthopedist, podiatrist or other specialized medical doctor for proper medical evaluation and screening.  We work with the athlete, parent(s)/guardian(s) and coaches in a collaborative fashion ensuring that you all achieve your goals.


Participants of BEYOND not only improve in all aspects of their athleticism, but post-tests and testimonials continually show improvements in at least one of the following:

Each BEYOND Performance Program is custom designed for your group/team.  It is intended to improve athletic performance as well as preventing injury so you can play and perform BEYOND your expectations not only now, but in the years to come.

At the beginning of every program each athlete goes through a series of assessments (flexibility, strength, power, agility and speed) that have been proven through countless reliable research studies.  Because a picture is worth a thousand words, video analysis is utilized to identify any deficits which may lead to possible injury or hinder performance. The data gathered is then reviewed by our professionals.  This allows us to further customize your program, ensuring optimal results for each athlete!  Upon completion, each athlete is re-tested and provided with a detailed analysis of results.


Our therapists have worked with athletes and patients from pee wee to the elite college level and understand the demands of various sports.  They collaborate to put together the best program and help educate all participants at their level so that they get the most out of it whether it is just for more enjoyment and establishing a better athletic foundation or if they are looking at securing key scholarships.  They’ve been involved in a variety of sports including but not limited to basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, weight lifting, track and field and Muay Thai kickboxing.

Evidence Based Testing/Practice

Evidence based testing or practice is the integration of the best research available, clinical expertise, and patient/athlete needs. Most up to date and highly researched tests will allow you to compare each athlete’s results to “normal or average” values of similar athletes of your gender, age and/or sport. Our professionals use only well researched exercises that have been statistically proven to improve your overall performance. Our professionals take into consideration the goals of each athlete and team when choosing each test and exercise. Our tests have been researched and used time and time again and can determine if you have improved in various aspects of your athleticism including agility, balance, power, endurance, and strength.

Injury Prevention and Education

No performance program is complete without an educational component. Each athlete, parent, team and coach is provided education on proper movement patterns and recovery techniques in order to maximize their physical performance and most importantly decrease their potential for injury. The testing we do in the beginning of the program as well as clear goal setting enables us to ensure we are educating you and your team/group in the best possible way throughout the program.

Our physical therapy background also enables us to appropriately refer athletes who may need more one-on-one rehabilitation for current injuries or referral to a specialist (Ie orthopedist, physiatrist or podiatrist typically) for further diagnostic testing and evaluation.
