DANA CROSBIE (LIANG), PT, DPT

Dana discovered her passion for rehabilitation and working with people at a young age, which made physical therapy the perfect profession for her. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science with emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. Prior to attending graduate school, she worked in an outpatient clinic as an aide and volunteered at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Palo Alto. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s College.

Dana’s treatment philosophy includes a combination of manual therapy, strengthening and stabilization, therapeutic exercise and patient education to promote lifelong changes that improve current conditions as well as help to prevent future injury. Her aim is to help her patients understand the cause of their impairments.  She enjoys working with them to improve habits that are critical for a better quality of life.  Dana has experience in treating a wide range of impairments associated with various conditions including overuse injuries, deconditioning, balance deficits, cancer, sports injuries and postural dysfunction. Dana was promoted to BreakThrough’s Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) position in 2019. In this role, she takes great pride in ensuring that each therapist here at BreakThrough grows personally and professionally while providing an exceptional level of care for our patients and clients and actively contributing to our collaborative approach.

Dana enjoys trying new activities, hiking, tennis, paddle-boarding, playing the piano, cooking, watching movies and playing board games. She is a lover of all animals and has raised several pets throughout her life.
