Learn how to reduce pain and resume an active life.

Incontinence is the involuntary excretion of bowel or bladder contents. Unfortunately, the incidence of incontinence is very common but is not normal. If you are suffering from this condition it is vital that you get checked by your physician or gynecologist. They may perform tests to help determine the cause and you may be referred to a urologist. It is important to ask your doctor if any medications you take may be impairing your ability to hold your urine. You should also ask your doctor if physical therapy is right for you. Studies show physical therapy helps resolve the symptoms of urinary incontinence in women.

The good news is that the bladder is a retrainable muscle.
